This year's Presentation Evening will be comibined with the AGM and will take place on Friday 28th October.

We welcome all Senior players, plus all Juniors who have played Senior cricket at some point throughout the 2011 season.

The evening will start at 7.30pm with the AGM, and it is important that as many members as possible attend this, to ensure that the important decisions to be made within the section are voted on.

The presentation evening will follow shortly afterwards, with Pie and Beans/Peas being available for a small price.

We will present medals to winning teams, award the player of the year for all of the senior teams, and make an award to the junior who has contributed most to senior cricket in 2011.

Bring partners, friends, relatives etc, it is normally an excellent night, littered with terrible speeches!

The End of Season working party is taking place on Saturday 24th September at 9.39am.

We need to ensure that key items are tidied up and stored safely for the winter, such as covers, sightscreens etc, and we also need to ensure that the square is roped off to prevent damage during the Winter. We will also be carrying out other general maintenance as is appropriate.

In order to do this in the quickest and easiest way we need as many volunteers as possible, from all 5 teams. As was the case last year, the committee has agreed that those club members which volunteer at a number of events throughout the year will be able to enjoy a reduction in subscriptions, and this event will form part of the requirement for a discount next year, so do please come along.

It is very easy to complain about the ground, and we hear it from almost all players at some point throughout the season. It would therefore be wise to turn up to such events so that you can contribute to improving our facilities. The groundsmen work incredibly hard on our ground, and a few small efforts from the people who actually use the ground could go a long way to making it better. Alternatively next time you complain about the ground think back to the working parties you didn't attend!
