Lots of good things happened at DCC in 2019

The AGM was well attended and election of captains and officers revealed that all 2020 positions will be filled by the same people as 2019. Continuity really helps with the development plan.
The treasurer reported that the bank balance remained positive despite the large expenditures on junior coaching, ground hires for 5s, 6s and Women, Live Streaming infrastructure and ground improvements.
The chairman reflected on a very successful season both on and off the pitch. Particularly pleased with Womens 1st team winning CWCL Div 1 title for first time and 5s gaining promotion into CCCL second team competition. Both teams have been in existence for less than 10 years. The icing on the cake being 1st team return to Premier League.

Other successes were:
• Junior coaching programme – brilliant job by Lakes
• Getting 2 players onto Lancashire EPP programme
• Pitch, outfield and ground improvements – big thanks to Barbs and Andy Leech
• Clubhouse refurbishment – thanks to all involved, particularly Chris and Meg
• Media improvements
• Live streaming installation – thanks to Anthony and Barry
• Integration of junior parents – bigger engagement with local community
• Increasing junior and senior membership by 21% and 36% respectively
• Sustaining great spirit and culture throughout section
• Probably biggest club in Lancashire?

Also thanked Club Executive for their constant support of the cricket section.

The awards event rewarded 3 players with centenary caps, Janghir Hussain, Andrew Jones and Jon Perkins.

Players from Women’s 1st team and Men’s 3rd team received medals to recognise winning trophies.

Women’s 1st team – Rosh Prince Navaratnam
