Dear Colleagues

Please find the final newsletter attached, rounding off what has been an eventful season. There has been a delay as I have been awaiting the fair play information - as has co-ordinator Martin Roberts, by the way, with several reports still due to him way beyond the cut-off time. My thanks to Martin for his assistance with this.

Congratulations to all the winners and high achievers, and commiserations to all those clubs for whom things haven't gone to plan.

I am grateful for those of you who have been in touch during the season in some way regarding the newsletter and the encouraging comments I have received. This season CLN News has been readily available via 'X'/Twitter too and I hope readership has increased as a result. I am only too aware that much that is worthy of note gets little attention in the newsletter, due to issues of space and time. My over-riding hope is - and has always been - that all clubs use their social media channels and Play Cricket site to the fullest possible extent to publicise all the good stuff going on with them and all the ups and downs of their fixtures etc. There are a number of excellent examples of this in all divisions but it is still a minority rather than the majority - I hope to see this balance shifting next season.

At this stage it is too early to say what will happen with the newsletter, but certainly at this stage my hope is to be able to continue with CLN News in 2026.
