1st start with comfortable win

The 1st XI began with an comfortable win to start the 2016 season.

Winning the toss and bowling at Wilmslow Road, Didsbury were excellent with the ball from the outset, restricting Tattenhall to an under-par 63 all out, on a firm wicket. Wickets were shared amongst the seamers and spinners, with debutant Matt Gregson picking up 3 wickets, with wickets also for Grace, Taylor, Davenport, Normanton and Anderson.

Tim Hughes set about the chase with relish, finishing not out for 30-odd, with only fellow opener James McDougall to fall.

Next week sees Didsbury travel to a strong Oulton Park side, who are coming off a strong opening-day showing against Sale.
