Under11's off to a winning start

A wet but excellent start to the season for the Under 11s. On winning the toss Dan elected to bowl and was backed up by all the bowlers. Harry M and Jamie set the tone and Michael and Oliver followed their lead. .Shameer and Dan bowled meanly and threateningly at the end of Wythenshawe's innings restricting the target to chase down. There were a few wides bowled which wasn't surprising with a wet ball, but the fielding throughout the team was keen and accurate, which was really pleasing.

Chasing 66 for an opening day win, the batsmen knew they had to be positive to try and finish the game quickly. Raheem and Ben played really well to get Didsbury over the line after Sam and Noah showed good intent at the start of the innings.

So, a good result, excellent attitude by everyone, including the parents who turned down the warmth of the clubhouse to support the boys. A shout out to Mike and Chris for scoring and also to Harry B for giving up his place to play for the opposition.
