U13s 2019 kicks off with pre-season friendly

So the long awaited 2019 season is almost upon us and it was great to have the chance to get some match practice on the astro before we meet our opponents in the league.

It was cold and the light didn't last well BUT the bar was open, support was plentiful and most of all a great game was played out by the two teams.

The Buffalos nicked it in the end as the Bulls ran out of balls to hit - but that didn't really matter. What counted was the spirit, enthusiasm and team play that was shown. The Year 7 boys playing in the U13 teams for the first time acquited themselves really well alongside the more experienced players and the two new captains did great jobs.

But thanks most of all to Rab & Matt who did a fantastic job umpiring and setting the standards for the spirit of the game - cheers guys....
