Something odd has happened with the scorecard on Play-Cricket but the runs as above are correct as is the result.
A very difficult start to the match as we were 3 men down, it put a lot of strain on the coaches and captain Rehan. DCC elected to bowl with 2 sub fielders and Christian standing in for Zain at the last minute. The Wizards got off to a flyer aided by numerous misfields and it wasn't until Abby Nicholson (on debut) came on that any semblance of control was restored and she finished with 3-1-4-2. The rest of the bowlers generally struggled with line and length and AEW finished on 140 which actually was less than it could have been due to late wickets from Louis (2) and one each for `BenL, Liam, Raheem and Seb. Still gettable on that wicket and outfield.
Liam and Seb opened but Liam sadly departed for a duck soon to be followed by Seb for 5 bringing Rehan and Raheem to the crease. Rehan looked in great nick scoring a quick fire 20 before being caught but we were rapidly slipping behind the rate until a rally by Ben Renison (21) and Noah Brown (33NO off 34) and the innings was brought to a close by Ben Lowe (great backing up and running for everything) and Jamie Helsby. Good total but not quite good enough!
Our fielding really is an issue and the calling/running could have been better; AEW on the other hand fielded like their lives depended on it.....
Thanks to Christian for standing in and girl of the match Abby. I would also like to mention Louis Rees who played despite his Nana sadly passing away that day.
Ps Louis and BenLs bowling stats are wrong I will try and edit later
