Bowden batted first and amassed a total of 142 in their 20 overs. Charlie bowled well, the rest were too wayward, giving away lots of extras. Henrik and Dan finished with 2 each, with Thomas and Felix getting 1 a piece. Some great fielding from Chris Slim with 2 catches and a run out.
Nobody wanted to open, so I gave Saim, Nathan, Umer and Thomas a chance at the top, but all struggled against a good opening attack.
Felix came in at number 5 and showed the rest of the boys how it should be done with a fantastic knock of 22. Another collapse brought Dan and Harry to the crease, where both played with massive hearts and great pride for DCC, creating a partnership of over 40. Both Dan 18 not out and Harry 23 not out, played some magnificent shots, which saw them hit 3 and 5 boundaries respectively. This brought the total up to a respectable total of 81.
