Acting captain Saim Salman won the toss and opted to bat. Dan Ward was eager to open with Henry Harper and both got us off to a flier, scoring 23 in the first 2 overs; things slowed down before Henry was out caught for 5, partnership of 27. With support from Henrik, Dan went on to score a magnificent 30, where he retired and walked off the ground smiling like a Cheshire cat. Henrik stuck around before being stumped for 12, Saim scored a slow 11 and Finn 10 not out. Buffalos finished on a respectable 90.
Chris Slim and Dan bowled well, giving away just 9 runs in the first 4 overs and then everything fell to pieces after that, with Saim, Umar and Ayaz giving away too many wides and no balls. Raheem tried to steady things with some good accurate bowling, but poor fielding let him down. Brooklands reached the target in the 16th over for the loss of just 1 wicket; Didsbury giving away 40 runs in extras.
