On a cold and windy Bank Holiday Monday evening interspersed with some rain showers DCC U15 went to Hale Barns and if we're honest did well to get a game played.
Hale Barns won the toss and elected to bat. They started very quickly but their run rate slowed, particularly when the DCC quartet of leg spinners were brought on to bowl, and Hale Barns were restricted to 110/7 in their 20 overs (49 of them to one of their opening batters). (Henrik 3-0-8-3).
On a tricky slow pitch the DCC reply was measured before accelerating as the batters became more settled as their innings' went on and DCC reached the target for the loss of just one wicket (113/1) with 2.4 overs to spare. (Rishi 50 retired, Ben 24 not out and Raheem 20). Player of the day went to Rishi.
